Exodus 25:2
"Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.
Lloyd S.

The offering God was asking for was a free will offering, not something He demanded. We see that God said to receive an offering from everyone whose heart prompted them to do so. It was obviously a test of the Lord to see who would want to honor Him with their gift. The Lord never demands that we follow Him but we all know that if we don't, our end result will not be one we will appreciate. He knocks on the door of our hearts but we have the choice of opening the door or not. Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.

No manipulation here for giving, God loves a cheerful giver. God wanted Israel to be motivated by a willing heart then by a specific deed. And God is the Greatest Giver, For God so Loved the world He gave His only begotten Son. Grace and Blessings Lloyd.

As it is today, the heart is what will lead you. If your heart is not in line with God nothing else I'll matter.

I know we don't have to do these types of offerings, but when I saw that it is valuable to the Lord that our hearts should move us, or prompt us, I think this shows us that in order to get out of our situations we need to realize the heart matter...our hearts can deceive us and also relieve us

This is beautiful....2 Cor 9:7 The Lord is so Gracious with us...He is calling us to a place where we KNOW that when we give we are not giving to men but to HIM and truely this is HOW we can give cheerfully....I had a scripture picked out yesterday....I'm sorry I missed posting. Bless you Brothers and Sisters!

If only we would all give out of pure motives. God loves a cheerful giver.
