Esther 4:14
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

Here we see in this verse Esther responded to the call of her life to become a mediator for the people of Israel. Esther knew that for her to be successful she needed to be teachable, and also take that step of courage, the step of faith to put her life on the line. She risked her position and her life, to interceded for her people, and saved her people from being wiped out. She had courageous faith in God to fulfill her divine destiny. Today her legacy lives on, as the Nation of Israel celebrates the Feast of Purim.

Amen to that Peter. We chose different verses but with very similar thoughts as to the faith of Esther, needed to save her people. A brave woman of faith, putting her life literally on the line to do so. Finally my post took today, praise God. Blessings to you Peter. Some rain predicted over night tonight here, and prayerfully it will do so, and water the earth. :-)

Mordecai is confident that God will not allow His people to be destroyed and if Esther does not do something he knows someone will rise up. Esther may save herself but all else will be lost, all of her family. Then Mordecai says, maybe, just maybe you are the Queen for such a time as this. Wow, what a powerful statement and one I need to always remember. Maybe, just maybe, I am in a place or a situation for such a time as this.

God NEVER places His followers anywhere just for them to be silent. Where ever I find myself, that is the place where God has strategically placed me in order to be His voice, His hands, His heart. God, help me be the follower that will stand for Your truth where ever you may lead me.

Esther was chosen by God to be Queen she was put in this position and remained in the kings favor had Faith to come up with a plan to save the Jews. There are thousand of Haman's today who want to destroy God's children. God's plan to save us from our sin was His Son Jesus who died for us on the cross

Amen, Peter but we also need to be fervently petitioning the Lord, as Esther asked of Mordecai, so that He will show His favor upon us and bring revival and protection. At this point, once again, my comment didn't post. I'll wait and see if it appears tomorrow. Think it's time for PTL to rework their site, since even the pictures of those who comment haven't shown for some time now, not that that really matters but seems they're not inspecting their site often enough. God bless brother.

God's choice was to have Esther in this position to be Queen, she had the kings favor, and the plan to save the Jews. Gods plan for us was sending His Son Jesus to save us from our sin, and to live in the Grace of Jesus Christ.

Esther was in a position of power and great influence when persecution hit "her people" -the Jews. I believe culturally in America we Christians have been in a subtle but huge way in persecution. And to our shame, many of us "have remained silent" about our faith or justified compromise as a product of evolution and the "times". Mordecai's faith spoke loud and clear that if queen Esther did not intercede, God would deliver their people thru another means but her life and her family would perish. Our children and children's children are dieing and going to hell because we in this day choose silence and neglect to use the power and influence we have to glorify God and disciple others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

All this time, Mordecai is telling Esther not to tell anyone she's a Jew. Mordecai didn't stand up for his beliefs when his orphaned cousin is being taken into the king's harem, then all of a sudden he decides to get spiritual and not bow to Haman and gives his reason as the fact that he's a Jew. If He hadn't told Esther to keep the fact that she was a Jew a secret, the King woulda said to Haman that he couldn't kill the Jews cuz his Queen is a Jew. Now all of a sudden, he wants Esther to speak up. This is all so wrong in every way. In the whole book of Esther the name of God is not mentioned one single time. Yet His silhouette is all over it. Even when Esther says to fast, she doesn't say fast and pray. How many times in our lives have we not stepped up to the plate and done something we shoulda done or not done something we shoulda done? How many of us have been secret service Christians at some point in our Christian careers? This book is sooooo honest, I try to picture a Hollywood movie and who would play the parts. I see Danny Divito as Haman, Allisa Millano as Esther, Harrison Ford as Mordecai, and Colin Farrell as King Xerxes. Wadda ya think of my cast folks?

Esther 4:14 - God gives all of us opportunities to do great things for Him. We have a choice to do them or let someone else do them, either way, God’s will, will be done. We cry we want the Lord to use us but we are picky as to what we are willing to do. We want to do things our way, at our time, without commitment. We all come up with the same excuses: This is not my gift - Moses used that excuse. I am too young – Jeremiah use that one. Let me first bury my family – New Testament excuse. We all can come up with excuses but we need to realize that we were call for such a time as this. God has us standing outside of the doors He wants us to go through but fear, selfishness, laziness and many other excuses stand in our way. If you don’t want to follow Jesus, that is ok, but move over because the rest of us want ALL OF JESUS.
