2 John 1:7
I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

This verse is so often applicable today, especially in the mainstream media, who tend to twist the facts of news to suit their own slant or objective in what they write. In our own nation, the media has been granted $595 million dollars but they must print according to what the current party instructs them to write, which is most often anything but truth. I pray regularly that the Lord will awaken them to their deception, and that they would come to follow the ways of the Lord and nothave to perish into a lost eternity. Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Here we see Johns words of warning and caution, that there are many deceivers, not just a few. They don't have any knowledge of Christ, they do not confess Jesus Christ coming in the flesh. He is warning the Church, to avoid such deceivers who deny any and all position of the Christian faith, who deceive the Body of Christ from the Truth of His word, as stated in this verse, any such person is the deceiver and antichrist.

The problem is that many is do acknowledge that Christ came in the flesh, however, they then mix truth with lies. This is what happened in Acts 16:16-18: This young girl was going behind the Paul saying "these are men of God proclaiming the way to salvation!". But Paul being annoyed, casted out the evil spirit. How did Paul know it was an evil spirit - and why was the evil spirit admitting that these men are "proclaiming the truth". A perfect example of deception -mixing some truth with a lie (it also happened with Eve in the garden of Eden). Ronald Ragen said best: Trust, but verify.

I am aware that there are false prophets, deceivers, whose purpose it is to pervert the truth concerning Christ and Him crucified. It's kind of like a family situation where parents teach their children one set of values, but "outsiders" teach another set of values. We're living in a world where God, our Father's Word is taught, not only to the family of believers, but to all who will hear and believe; yet there are those who wish to distort that word. As believers, we must be sure that we are rooted and grounded in the truth of God's word and be persuaded that nothing will separate us from that truth. Father, in the name of Jesus, keep my heart and my mind stayed on You and Your truth.

The testimony of God is about Jesus Christ, His son, coming in the flesh to save the world. John has repeated this matter over three chapter and saying that if any spirit or anyone who does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the son of God coming in the flesh then that spirit or person is the antichrist. Being repeated this many times, it is very very important!!! Without Jesus (being the son of God who came into the world, take the form of the flesh, endured the pain for our iniquities, without a sin but being forsaken and died on the cross) there is no forgiveness of sins.

There are many such people with their own interpretation of truth and it is false. The problem is, they lead many others astray that have never been taught the truth of God's word. Holly Spirit, awaken them so they do not perish in their false teaching.

There are so many out there that claim to be believers but when put to the test do not come through. They tell you what they think you want to hear but when faced with the word they fall short.

Fast forward to 2012... I've read and researched many different "religions" that talk about Jesus, but that he was just a 'perfect man" or was Satan's brother or was just a prophet, but not the Messiah etc. etc. The fact is, they acknowledge him, but not in the way the bible teaches. And that my friends, is deception.

John continues his teaching that Jesus came in the flesh, fully God and fully man. This is so important for us to understand, Jesus is God in the flesh, nothing less. Many sects try to teach otherwise. How can Jesus save us if He is not God? No one can save us but God. Thank you Jesus that you are God and You love us.
