God calls all of us to the work of the Lord, it does not matter if we are tall, short, skinny, heavy, white, black or male or female. When God calls he has or will prepare us to fulfill his purpose. If only we would look at the hearts of others and not their outward appearance.

The Lord wasn't looking at the inner works of man to be the king and rule his people, because Saul was already on who was disobedient. The Lord see what is the heart and soul of man windows of soul which David son of Jesse was the one the Lord was pleased and knew he would be one to rule over his people. Lord thanks for see me in a different light than what others may see me. Lord help me to see myself and others the way you see and not the way man see.

People spend hours each week maintaining their outward appearance but God judges by faith and character not appearance. While everyone can see your face only God can see your heart. All of us need to be more concerned out our hearts, for appearance doesn't reveal what people are really like. Jesus said, "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him." (Matthew 12:35) Lord help me to store up good things that will bless others and glorify You!

1 Samuel 16:7 - i am guessing that since Saul was so very tall that Sammy figured the next king would be tall also. We try to put God in a box, we try to figure out the pattern then follow it. We can never assume what God is doing, we have wait on Him. David was anointed King but waited and waited until it was time to take the throne. i used to know someone that always said, "We must never doubt in darkness what the Lord has shown us in the light." It took me years to learn that it is true. Wait on Lord, He will keep His promises in His time.
