1 Kings 6:13
And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."

Israel was set apart by God and was the apple of His eye. They were the only nation that God promised to dwell in their midst, first in the tabernacle and secondly tin the temple. God made it clear that there was a condition for Him to remain with His people. They were required to stay in fellowship with Him and live in accordance to His Law. God was long suffering toward His people but the sad day came in Ezekiel's day when God's presence left the temple and the sad truth was Ezekiel was the only one who knew it. The people continued giving God lip service without even knowing His presence was no longer there. We too need to be careful that we are living in close relationship with the Lord and not just going through the motions.

Amen, Terry, and so many do these days attend church on Sunday and think they are fine but do not obey the commands of the Lord during the week. I keep working on me to better my self in the ways of the Lord. God bless.

It is comforting to know that God will keep his promises. He will always remain faithful to what He says He will do. The Israelites were a people, much like myself, who saw God do amazing things and then forgot about them. Even though they were constantly not living up to there end of the bargain, God remained faithful to them and showed them amazing patience. He did judge them and discipline them from time to time, but His love for them was always there and He keeps his promises.

Amen, Edward, and we see His hand still upon Israel today as He is bringing them back to their promised land, from which they were scattered so many centuries ago. More and more returning every year from all over the world. God bless.
