1 Chronicles 28:3
But God said to me, 'You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.'

Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key Phrase: "You are not to build a house for My name." Here we see in this verse God, gave a reason for not letting David build the Temple. David was a warrior king, a courageous king, but he shed blood. The Temple was to be built in peace time, and the the Temple would require the mind of the wisest man who would ever live. Davids son, Solomon, who would out rank him with brain power.

Can't ad much to that Peter. Of course, Israel is in the planning stages of another temple. I actually hope it doesn't happen in my life time, since it will bring in the son of perdition (antichrist) who will sit in the temple and claim he is God. 2Thess. 2:3-4  Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition, (4)  who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God. Blessings Peter. Cloudy and calling for rain here today, though a bit cooler. Currently 72. :-)
