Even though Job had loss everything he still had to depend on God to restore back to him everything he lost. It shows how powerless we our to help ourselves and that we need to depend and trust God always even when we don't understand.

This verse means to me that as children of God we should never be upset about God disciplining us. Whom God displine He love so it should be a blessing to be corrected by God. It shows he really loves us as his children and wants us to live a good life as well as walk as a child of God should walk.
