Zephaniah 2:3
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
you who do what he commands.
Seek righteousness, seek humility;
perhaps you will be sheltered
on the day of the Lord 's anger.

Here we see Judgment coming to a shameless Nation, but the prophet Zephaniah proclaims a gracious offer, an offer from God, that Repentance and Salvation is still possible. Judgment is coming to our shameless Nation, that once was enriched with Christian heritage and values. But thanks be to a patient God, there is still time to return to God in Repentance and Faith.

Amen, Peter. And there are many nations who need to realize that they will eventually face the judgment of the Lord. He is patient but only for a time, and then the hand of the Lord will fall, and the result will not be pretty. Blessings in the name of the Lord, Peter.

Seek the LORD, all you humble: Even those of us that are walking with God must keep a short list of any and all participation with evil. It's easy to point a critical finger at our neighbor and say, "this judgement is for them and not me". That's a very dangerous place to be. Even the righteous must seek the LORD. We must keep our spirits free from the yucky puckys of accusation, unforgiveness, bitterness, gossip and the like. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger. Perhaps means maybe you will and maybe you won't. All thru the Bible, God promises to hide His righteous in the day of great judgment. This is going to be especially relevant during time of the Great Tribulation, when Jesus warned us in Luke 21:36 to Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. It's so easy to let the days as vs 2 says pass like windblown chaff, and we get caught up in daily activities and never get right with God! Most often, the devil's most powerful lie isn't that there's no God, or Bible, or truth - but that there's no hurry.  1 Cor 6:2 says today is the day of salvation. All thru this chapter, we see how all of Israel's surrounding nations are proud and denigrating her, saying they're gonna wipe them off the face of the earth. That same thing is going on today with the Islamic countries. Those that oppose the Apple of God's eye will come to the same destruction as they have all thru history. Papa God, wake up Your church to the realization that judgement begins with us and if we humble ourselves, and seek Your Face, You will be faithful and heal our land, in Jesus name, Amen.

Zephaniah 2:3 – The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever. His message to the people back in the days of Zephaniah is the same as His message to us today. “But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) God’s message of seeking Him is both for the individual and for the nation. The first verse of this chapter God tells the people to gather together. How much more powerful would be the results of a nation gathering together to seek the Lord. Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20) God also tells us to seek humility. God hates sin. God hates pride. Humility does not come naturally, it is something we have to seek and beware of it sneaking back into our hearts. “Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the LORD.” (2 Chronicles 34:27) Father in Heaven, keep my heart close to You at all times. Continue to show me where pride has sneaked into my heart. I truly want to know You more and make You known.

Look for the LORD, everyone in the country of Judah that is *humble. Try to do what is very, very good. Look for what makes you*humble. Perhaps the LORD will hide you when he is very angry. We need to get ourselves together on an individual basis and as a whole. We as a town, city, state, country, nation need to humble ourselves. Need to do what Christ has commanded us to do. If you do this you will be brought to Safety on the day of the Lord's anger.

Yes, Rhonda, if we humble OURSELVES He'll lift us up, but if He has to humble us, it's not so pretty
