"Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?"

This makes me remember even in what is considered small things in this life if done for the Lord are considered great. Little is much when God is in it.

God has built many huge things starting from small things. We all start as small things. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says The end of a matter is better than its beginning. A lot of people start a race, but few finish it. Paul said in 2 Timothy 4, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. God honors us big time when we hang in there and don't give up on our commitment.Phil 1:6 says He who began a good work in you will complete it to the end. I see that happen in EE, people start then begin to drop out about halfway thru. I tell them to just keep coming back, even if you get behind on the memorization, and don't have it all done at the end of the semester. You can always come back next semester and you'll breeze right thru it. The only way you lose and the devil wins is if you quit. I felt that way halfway thru, and if it hadn't been for my prayer partner I would've quit. But now that I'm thru and a trainer, I can truly say it has changed my life. There's nothing like the feeling of leading someone to Christ. I can literally feel the holy Spirit come over me and the person I'm sharing with. It's like an ether and you can see the look in their eyes. Papa God, thank You so much for small beginnings. Never let me despise anything You call me to put my hand to no matter how small. Small things become great when I place them in the hands of the Master.

So true Donna, sometimes we may share the Gospel and they reject it or maybe they don't even allow us to finish. It seems like a small thing we did. But God can use that to bring the that person to Christ and who knows, that person might become another Chuck Smith. Everything is big when God is in it.

Zechariah 4:10 – God’s eyes are everywhere, not just seeing everything but also searching everywhere, “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9) God rejoiced when He saw Zerubbabel taking the first step to start building the Temple. If a parent rejoices over their child’s first step how much more will the Lord rejoice when He see us taking the first step to build His church.” A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory.” (Matthew 12:20). We must not get discourage when we fall knowing that a righteous man falls 7 times but always gets back up. God who started the good work in us and God will finish it. It is not by our might nor our power, but by God’s Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. Father in Heaven, thank You for adopting me into Your Kingdom and clothing me in Your righteousness. You are the author and finisher of my faith. Help me to grow in the grace and knowledge of Your truth.
