Ruth 2:11
Boaz replied, "I've been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before.

As I read this chapter, it reveals to me that Ruth, being an outside has come under the shadow of the one true God, whom Naomi and Boaz served. Ruth committed to follow the Israelites, and their God, the only true God. Therefore she was enfolded just as if she had been born an Israelite. God does likewise for anyone who comes to follow Him now, through Jesus Christ, the One who sacrificed His life for all who would/will follow Him. Thank You, Lord, for Your grace and mercy. Amen

Ruth saw virtues in Naomi that exceeded that which she saw from her parents, and her home land, and was willing to leave it all behind. She saw something more beautiful in Naomi's culture and values, She weighed the cost in her mind of what was better; to stay among her culture, or stay with her mother in law and see for herself what Jerusalem was all about!

For her nobility and faithfulness to Naomi, God has blessed Ruth. Because from Ruth will come Obed, the father of Jesse, the father of king David, from whom our Lord Jesus Christ, in his earthly form, descended from. Though she was a foreigner, she was blessed. God looks at the heart and not the outside.
