Revelation 3:19
Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Yes, God rebukes and disciplines just as a righteous parent disciplines their child when they go against the boundaries set to raise up the child. God gives His believers the discipline they need to keep then walking in His ways. Some, just as children are disobedient to their parents, will be punished for that disobedience and if they persist in disobedience, will be banished from the family. Lord, I ask that You give me/us the wisdom to be obedient to Your commands, that I/we will not have to be punished or banished from Your glory. Amen

Since this is the way the Lord is I will rejoice when he disciplines me. Though things may be hard at the moment I will rejoice in knowing it's only happening to me cause of God's great love for me.

When the Lord disciplines us we should be happy because it means He loves us and is teaching us so we can be better Christians. We must be eager to do right and repent of any sins God shows us.
