Psalms 98:9
let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.

Isaac Watts was inspired to write the hymn, Joy to the World based on this psalm. Although we sing it at Christmas it was written looking forward to Jesus' second coming. When He returns he will come as the judge. He being God knows all things. He is a righteous Judge and He will make all things right. He will restore the earth back to its original splendor before Adam's sin. Come Lord Jesus!

No matter how undependable and changing the justice system we live under - with basic standards changing with the times, and not for the better, our God's standards and righteous judgement never waivers. It is the one constant we can rely upon.
