Psalms 88:1
Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
day and night I cry out to you.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
A Psalm of sadness and darkness but we must remember as Christian, darkness and sadness was defeated at the Cross for our sin, the dawn brought us a new Life, a New Life free from sin. We can weather any storm that comes into our life if we seek the peace that God offers us.

I really love this verse. The more I meditate on it I see the connection between me and my God. First of all, I see our relationship. He is LORD, this is the name Jehovah His formal name not Adonai. He is MY LORD, I have given Him Lordship over me. What did He give me? Salvation.

Psalm 88:1 – Lord, You said, in this world we will have tribulation, but behold, You have overcome the world.. It is good to know that when we are at our lowest, we can ALWAYS cry out to You and be heard. In good times and bad You are there. Life is not fair, but You are. When times are really bad, that is when we realize how much we need You. When times are really bad, that is when our faith grows stronger. When times are really bad, that is when we realize all we need is You. i am thankful that You are the God of my Salvation.

This whole psalm sounds like it was written by someone in the depths of despair from either debilitating prolonged sickness or extreme depression, or both. I know what it's like to be in both and when you're in that place, it's hard to remember what it's like to not be there. I battle with going there regularly and have asked God to remove it. It's a constant battle for me and the only thing that helps is
http://www.fathersloveletter.com/ I downloaded that thing and put it on loop and listen to it over and again. I have an Arsenal of Scriptures about how much God loves me, I mediate on them, then I text one of them to several of my friends. I've never done that, that my friends didn't text me back saying, "I really needed that". That tells me, 1. God's Word works, 2. The devil is a liar and I'm not the only one feeling that way, 3. I personally feel better.
