Psalms 39:4
"Show me, Lord, my life's end
and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting my life is.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Life here on earth is temporary, because life is short God has called us to do His works and to fulfill His purpose in these end times. 2 Corinthians 4:18 We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is Temporary, but what is unseen is Eternal.

We need to realize how short life is so we can live each day with eternity in mind. Every day is a gift from our loving Father that we can invest or waste. We can either invest or days by storing up our treasure in heaven or waste our days by storing up our treasures on earth. Today is a gift. How will you spend it? Lord help me to live life with eternity in mind. Help me to stop worrying about tomorrow and live today to the fullest. Heaven is my home not this earth. Help me to never forget that truth. Help me to become a more faithful ambassador in the days ahead. May the rest of my days You give me be pleasing to You!

Amen, Terry. Our lives are so short as compared to God's eternal existance, and he has given us the gift of being able to spend eternity with Him. God bless.

Psalm 39:4 – Father in Heaven, thank You for forgiving my sinful tongue that has hurt people, discouraged people, deceived people, angered people, cause others to sin and worst of all grieved You. i don’t think David really muzzled his mouth and duct taping my will not help either. What i need to do is put my hope totally in You. i need not to defend myself or attack others with harsh words. Help me not to only number my days, but number my words. You know exactly how many words i have left to use. Help me, make me, cause me to use whatever amount of words i have left to bless my enemies and not curse them. Make my words encourage, build up, and comfort the body of Christ. Make my words point others into a saving knowledge of You. i want to use the words that i have left to magnify and exalt Your Holy Name. Fill me with Your Spirit so that i complain less and praise more.

And I can well relate to both of you. The end of my tongue needs to to be callused from biting it when I'd like to strike with it. One of my big challenges....
