Psalms 39:12
"Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were.
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Hear my prayer, Lord, as I watch our nations crumble under the attacks inspired by the evil one. We see those who who do not believe in the true and living God, forcing their false religions upon us, and our leaders stand back and help them. Come Lord, and awaken those who are blind to Your truths, so they may repent and believe in the one true and living God, through Jesus Christ our Savior, provider and protector. Amen

A stranger is one that is absent from his country, and home: so it is with us, heaven is our country, God and Christ are there. This World isn't our home so we are strangers in a strange land, foreign to the ways and wiles of it. As strangers in a foreign country no one knows or values us according to our birth and breeding: so we walk around this world as King's kids in disguise. A stranger doesn't buy a lot of things he can't carry with him; but jewels and pearls, and things that are portable and incorruptible. On this dusty lovely road of life we should strive toward riches of the Kingdom of God, the things that will abide with us into eternity. A stranger's heart is in his country. He's careful along the way, making sure he stays on the right path lest he go astray. He provides for his return, as a merchant, that he may return richly laden. That's how we must appear before God, richly laden with jewels to lay at our Fathers feet. Papa God as I trod along this lonely, dusty road of life, let me always remember that I'm just passin thru. Let me only do and say what will mean something in YOUR big picture. Let me only collect the valuable, incorruptible jewels of helping those that can't help themselves or pay me back, in whatever way that may appear. Let me always and only do it for Your glory and never for worldly recognition or gain, for that indeed, as Jesus said will be my only reward.
