Psalms 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

A Psalm of Praise: All though David was not perfect he never lost favor with God, God is a merciful God he could have taken David's life. If you have God's favor it lasts a Life Time. We need too keep our focus on God, because Our Prize is Jesus Amen. God is in Control!

If I fall asleep right away and sleep all thru the night, it doesn't seem long at all. If I hafta get up early and don't get to bed till late it's reeeaaalllyyy short. But if I can't sleep and toss and turn, it's reeeaaalllyyy long. Either way, the sun DOES come up and becomes a new day. No matter what I'm going thru, no matter how dark and long the duration of my grief, if will end and God will bring HIS light into my darkened, weary, grief stricken soul. Papa God, always remind us that You didn't bring us this far too leave us You didn't teach us to swim to let us drown. You didn't build a home in us to move away. You didn't lift us up to put us down. Even when the night time of my grief seems to NEVER end, remind me that You who began this good work in me will continue it till You come back or take me home. Great is Your faithfulness, oh God my Father.

Honestly, I don't understand the concept that God gets angry with us temporarily. I could only think that our sin brings consequences, and then we return to fellowship and are no longer suffering the effects of our sin. The weeping in the night (darkness) must be the isolation we experience while out of fellowship, and the joy that comes in the morning (the light) returns with reconciliation to our Father.
