Psalms 146:3
Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
in human beings, who cannot save.
Terry J. from Hinsdale, NY said:
Politicians promise all kinds of things to get elected and then they disappoint those who put them in office. But Jesus will never let us down. He said He would die and raise from the dead on the third day to save us from our sins and He did! Put your trust in the One who has the power to save and keeps His promises!

Psalms 146:3
Do not put your trust in princes,

in human beings, who cannot save.

Psalm 146:3 – The best of men are men at best. All sin and fall short of the glory of God. Men may make sincere promises, but when the circumstance change or more information is discovered, they back out of their agreement. Only God is unchanging, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He says what He means and He means what He says. He doesn’t have mood swings and He never lies. Father God, help me to trust in You only. Not in people or plans or things of this world. Help me to acknowledge You knowing You will always direct my path.

Psalms 146:3
Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
in human beings, who cannot save.

Princes are mere men, and usually with greater needs than the rest of us. Why should we look to them for aid? They're in greater danger, have greater cares, and are more likely to be misled than the rest of us. Therefore, it seems pretty silly to select them for our confidence. I don't believe any men have been more false to their promises and treaties as those of royal blood. I've read in numerous accounts that all but 1 of the USA presidents are related to one another, and their heritage can be traced back to the distant grandfather King John "Lackland" Plantagenet, the King of England in the 13th century. You can read more at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2183858/All-presidents-bar-directly-descended-medieval-English-king.html
I don't believe we can trust, any human completely. Adam fell, so, I don't think leaning on his fallen sons is a super bright idea. We're all helpless creatures without God; so rather than looking for help in man's direction, I think it's a better idea to look to God. When we see a new political candidate promising hope and change, we need to search deeply and see just what kind of change and who that person is hoping in. Most of the people in leadership are more invested in helping themselves than others. How many of us have voted for someone like that only to become heartsick from more lies and broken promises? Human leaders have moods, just like the rest of us. The Lord is our very present help in time of trouble. He's never changing, the same yesterday, today and forever.

Praise God for this verse. I read this quote that says, "You can't save people, you can just love them." I love this because for far too long I placed the responsibility of saving people on my shoulders. I thought that was the chief responsibility of a Christian. But i have found that trying to save people is the best way for the people you are trying to save and yourself to drown. So I thank God from freeing me of this self appointed task and no longer placing trust in myself or my abilities. I give this responsibility willing over to God and He continues to amaze me. No human being has the ability to save, that includes me. Thank you Father for your saving grace. Thank you for Christ who has already died to save us all. Thank you for today, allowing me to not only be saved, but to live at peace in your rest.

Too much trust is put into possessions and people. Possessions or people cannot save you. This verse makes it clear not to do that.
