Psalms 141:5
Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;
let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head.
My head will not refuse it,
for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

As we gather in fellowship together with our brothers & sisters in Christ Jesus we glorify God and in sharing our praises and prayer needs we are obeying Gods word and seeking to grow in the word of God that all his will be done in our lives as we mature... But I see much lacking in the area of accepting or being able to talk to our sisters & brothers in Jesus when through the Holy Spirit we see sinful habits or ways that are offensive to God .... I pray that I would be able to accept counsel and encouragement from those that would reveal to me where my spirit needs growth and repentance and that I also may have the courage to speak in love & with encouragement to my sisters & brothers in Jesus when the spirit calls me to. This is biblical and shows that we care and love their spirit more than their flesh... But yet it is a hard area for me and many to approach each other as the word of God says we should... I know this is not meant for us to do with unsaved or non-believers for most already are aware they are sinning... But let a sister or brother come to me and encourage and show me true love and kindness by speaking truth when needed and my spirit will rejoice .... Gods word revealed by the Holy Spirit is meant for growth amongst much more & may we grow in love and mature in Gods word as he wills for us .... and encourage and guide our sisters & brothers in Gods word without fear but with love. It's hard to put in words here but search Gods word and it will guide us many times to what Dacid is saying here in this verse. Love one another :-)

That's soooooooo true Rachel. It is indeed hard to say something to a fellow believer if they're in sin. We're told not to judge, but we can certainly be fruit inspectors

I will receive the rebuke of a righteous believer where he/she points out my wrong doing but I pray against those that do evil that they may be snared by their own wickedness, or, be turned to the Lord in confession and repentance.

Good to be able to be back in the program again after about 5 days of not being able to post. God bless, bothers and sisters.

Oh, and yes, and Pro 27:6 says Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.
