Psalms 135:16
They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but cannot see.
eyes, but cannot see.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
In this verse and series of verses God is saying, what men are worshiping are only images that were made. They may look as if they have a mouth but are unable to speak, as they are only man made replicas and have no voice, may look as if they have eyes but are unable to see. Today, some have idols of a different types, it may be a sport or hobby. It may even be money they horde and don't use for God's purposes. There's nothing the matter with having large amounts of money unless it is all consuming and a good portion isn't put back into God's work. Idles can be most anything but we need to dispense with idles and let God be our idle, who is living and we worship Him in sincerity and we can speak to Him, and He to us.

Psalms 135:16

eyes, but cannot see.

Psalm 135:16 - Even as a small child i felt i had a heart for the Lord….God set eternity in the hearts of men…..But why didn’t i seek after Him? i did have some difficult obstacles in way, but i think it was more than those obstacles keeping me from seeking the Truth. i was very comfortable with the god of my imagination. Oh he could see, but only with my eyes and my understanding. The god of my imagination talked to me all the time and so did my Chatty Cathy doll. They were both programs to say certain things. They both spoke only when i pulled their strings. i was fearful of finding the absolute Truth because there was a chance that i was unacceptable to Him. Father in Heaven, i am so thankful that i am accepted in the beloved. i am thankful that i don’t have to pull Your sting to hear “I love you!” i am so thankful i found the Truth, or maybe the Truth found me. Either way, i am Yours and You are mine for ever and ever and ever.

This verse is an attack on pagan idolatry. The people are tired of the idols and want to worship the only true God
