There's all sorts of reasons to praise the Lord. He is good His mercy endures forever. He's worthy. He created everything. He loves us so much, He sent His only Son to leave Heaven, where it's perfect--no death, no sin, no tears, no pollution, no taxes, nobody pulling out in front of you in traffic or cutting you off on the freeway-- to come down here, be born of a Virgin, thus live His whole sinless life under the scandal of illegitimacy, among the most corrupt of people. Then die a horrible cruel death to pay the penalty for my sins and 3 days later, rose from the dead to prove He purchased a place for me in Heaven. This psalm was written BEFORE Jesus came. If all these old Testament Saints had reason to praise God, when they had to drag a live animal in to atone for their sins, how much more should we new testament Saints praise God? If we don't praise Him, who will? Oh, that's right. Jesus said if we don't praise Him, the rocks will cry out. Now that would be SOME rock concert. I see and hear people who deliberately come to church after the praise and worship because they either feel it's unnecessary, don't enjoy it, or whatever their excuse oops, I mean reason. I often wonder if these people get excited at sporting events. If we don't enjoy praising God here on earth, I wonder how comfortable we'll be in heaven. Papa God, please don't ever let me feel any reason whatsoever to not praise You. When I feel the least like praising You, that's when I need it most. That's why it's called a SACRIFICE of praise. Always, without fail, after a little praise, I feel better. And I know my enemy NEVER wants that for me and You ALWAYS do.

Amen Donna, we bring SACRIFICE of praise into the house of our Lord AND wherever we are AND whatever the circumstances may be.
