Psalms 115:17
It is not the dead who praise the Lord,
those who go down to the place of silence;
those who go down to the place of silence;
Nancy M. from Runnemede, NJ said:
Psalm 115:17 – Now is the time to worship and now is the time to praise the Lord. This side of eternity is the only time we can praise the Lord by faith. If you want to win life’s battles, praise the Lord. If you want to feel the Lord’s presence, praise the Lord. How did Jehoshaphat confuse the enemy and win the war, he didn’t fight with swords and suicide bombers, he simply sent the choir.
When you're up against a struggle, that shatters all your dreams
And your hopes have been cruelly crushed by Satan's manifested schemes
And you feel the urge within you to submit to earthly fear
Don't let the faith you're standing in seem to disappear
Praise the Lord, He will work through those who praise Him
Praise the Lord, for our God inhabits praise
Praise the Lord, for the chains that seem to bind you
Serve only to remind you, that they drop powerless behind you
When you praise Him
Now, Satan is a liar and he wants to make us think
That we are paupers, when he knows himself we're children of the King
So lift up the mighty shield of faith for the battle must be won
We know that Jesus Christ has risen and the work's already done
Praise the Lord, He will work through those who praise Him
Praise the Lord, for our God inhabits praise
Praise the Lord, for the chains that seem to bind you
Serve only to remind you, that they drop powerless behind you
When you praise Him
Praise the Lord, He will work through those who praise Him
Praise the Lord, for our God abides in our praise
Praise the Lord, for the chains that seem to bind you
Serve only to remind you, that they drop powerless behind you
When you praise Him
When you praise Him
When you praise Him
When you praise
When you praise, you praise the Lord
Praise the Lord

Psalms 115:17
It is not the dead who praise the Lord,

those who go down to the place of silence;
Shelena G. from Lorain, OH said:
The dead CAN NOT praise the Lord, but YOU CAN! Why do I say this? Every created being living on planet earth were created with a instinct to praise and worship. These created things—a person, the sun, moon, and stars, heavens, all kinds of animals, and so on was place here on earth to praise God Almighty. We were pre-wired that way by Him. He created and made these things for His good pleasure. In return we praise Him. If you need a scripture reference for this, look in Psalm 148; which contains a list of created things who praise God. Yes, it is our duty and a privilege for being alive today. Why? Read Verse 17 again along with Isaiah 38:18, which states, "For the grave cannot praise thee; death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit can hope for thy truth." These verses show that praising the Creator is our purpose in this life, not the dead. But they also explain how living people in dead traditions tend not to praise God any more than literal corpses do. Do you want to be followers of dead traditions of men? Hope not.
We are alive unto righteousness, and serve a living God. Praise the Lord!
