Psalm 10:17 – David starts off saying, “Where are You Lord?” as if he is complaining that God is not taking control of the problems or not living up to His Word. But here at the end of the psalm David is praising the Lord and confessing that God does listen to the afflicted and does take control over the wicked. This is one of the reasons we need to pray. Spending time in prayer we realize the truth about God and we get the peace that passes all understanding. Father in Heaven, when i look at the world and it’s problems i tend to lean on my own understanding. But when i pray, i am filled with Your Holy Spirit and i can see things for an eternal perspective. My prayer is that You will rule in reign in my heart and that i will cast my cares upon You for You care for me.
