Philippians 3:14
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Phillipians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. The more I walk with Jesus and learn of Him, the I realize I've only scratched the surface of what there is to know about Him. Paul's saying the same thing here. He as Luke 9 says, put his hand to the plow and never looked back. I wish I could say that, but I didn't. For the longest time I thought I could keep one hand on the plow at all times while using the other to live as the world lives. God loves us so much that He doesn't wanna share us with the world. Not because He's like a jealous spouse, but because He knows that as we try to continue in the world, we're gonna end up in pain. Once I got to the point of trying to hang on to both vehicles, I was hanging of the cliff and I wasn't the one hanging on. God said, "let go", and I, with great fear and trepidation, did. That was when I started down the road of realization that I can totally trust God, and if He doesn't want something for me that I desperately want, that it's for my own good. Verse 12 says that Paul laid hold of Christ as Christ laid hold of him. It's a mutual relationship. Not that Christ ever actually let's us go out of His hand, but if we're not hanging onto Him, there's a tether that He let's us go on. But if you've ever seen a dog chasing a cat and reaches the end of his tether, you get the picture of our relationship with God. The tether for the dog is so that he doesn't go somewhere he shouldn't and get hurt or killed. The same is with God. His rules are not to be a kill joy, but for our protection. If you see your child try to stick their finger in a light socket, would you be a loving parent if you let them do it? Of course not! If a simple, "no" doesn't stop them you hafta get a little more forceful and smack their little hand and say it with more sterness. The child is gonna cry and say, you're mean and don't love me, but is that true? Of course not. When God doesn't answer a prayer your desperately asking Him for. Rather than getting mad and calling Him a meanie, ask Him to show you His perfect will in your situation. The answer could be "no", it could be "wait", it could be that you're participating with the enemy and stepping upside of His provisional umbrella of protection, leaving yourself open to the attack of the enemy. It doesn't hafta be something big, it can be as simple as fear, doubt, unbelief, or unforgiveness. Those things are toxic and will make us sick, and God can't violate His own law and cohabitate with us in those areas. That's why there's just as much sickness and disease in the church as there is in the world. If you don't agree with what I've said here, that's fine, but if you're suffering from some unanswered prayer, ask God to show you if what I've said here is true. I'm not here to condemn, just to report the news. Go here and check out some of these principals I'm sharing with you: http://pathwaytohealth.net/ Papa God, thank You for the truth of Your Word and that You love us so much and want the best for us. Open our blind eyes that we'll see Your truths, and act accordingly, in Jesus name, Amen

Everyone should have a goal. Either to get through this week, endure that person, etc. When we have a plan laid out from God that goal is to be sought for.
