no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a fellow man and as a brother in the Lord.

Because Jesus died on a cross, taking with him all my sins, your sins, all, sins, we are no longer slaves to the law. It is because of his God's gift to us we are brothers and sisters in Christ. I still get amazed at His love for me and sometimes still have to ask -why. He always answers the same, because I love you my child. I hope everyone learns and receives this love.

I was struck with a new thought as I read this verse. I knew that Onesimus was a slave. But, the new thought I had was that we all sold away as a slave to sin - - - But because Jesus Christ took my whipping, He died on the cross and on the third day He rose Triumphant, a Victor over sin and death. - - So that if we believe that He was the Son of God, and if we believe that He bleed and died for us. Then we have the right to be sons and daughters of God. We are hairs with Christ, if we share in His suffering.

That we can be both workers and brothers/sisters in the Lord. My boss could be my sister in the Lord, and while it may be difficult at times; the relationship is based on the knowledge, grace and blood of Jesus Christ. I know that this verse is not saying that, but I think that it may have more to do with a working relationship than not.
