Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.

Matthew 8:3 – In this same chapter Jesus heals a centurion’s servant. Jesus was amazed at the centurion’s faith as Jesus offer to go to his house and heal the servant but the centurion said, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” In this verse, Jesus doesn’t just say, “Be clean”, rather Jesus reaches out His hand and TOUCHED the man with leprosy. People with Leprosy were never touch by others because they were unclean. Leprosy in the bible is a picture of sin. When you ask people why they God should allow them into Heaven they usually answer because I am a good person. I would imagine I would have answered that way in my BC days. My excuse for not going to church on Christmas or Easter was because I didn’t go any other time of the year. I didn’t realize it then but now I know it was just an excuse. I think down deep I knew I was not right with God and didn’t want to go to church and find out differently. Many people stay away from Jesus because they know they are unclean sinners. They think Jesus wouldn’t want to touch them until they clean up their life. Jesus knows all about your sin. Jesus wants to heal you. Jesus wants to touch you, but you must come to Him. ♫ Shackled by a heavy burden ♪ 'Neath a load of guilt and shame ♫ Then the hand of Jesus touched me ♪ And now I am no longer the same ♫ He touched me, Oh, He touched me ♪ And Oh the joy that floods my soul ♫ Something happened and now I know ♫ He touched me and made me whole ♫ Since I met this blessed Savior ♪ And since he cleaned and made me whole ♪ I never cease to praise Him ♫ I'll shout it while eternity rolls ♪

Jesus is always there to reach out to us that want Him. He said "I am willing" & He touched the man. He will reach out & touch all who come to Him with open arms with the love that we need.
