Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.

Blessed are the pure in Heart, for they will see God. Psalm 24: 3-5 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His Holy Place? The one who has clean hands and a Pure Heart, who does not trust in an idol or trust in a false god. They will receive Blessings from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Psalm 17:15 As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness. Revelation 22:4 They will see His face and His name will be on their foreheads.

This verse takes me to Moses, and when he requested what seemed unthinkable-to see God's face, His glory. (Exo. 33:18). And God, being the gracious Father that He is says, "Yes." (Exo. 33:19). I looked at how God took special care of Moses, for He knew if Moses saw His face, he would surely die. So He placed Moses in a special place and protected Him while He did His awesome works, carefully covering Moses eyes as He worked. And after He was done (had passed by) God removed His hand to reveal His glory (Exo. 33:20-23). When I read verse 8 this morning, it brought me joy because I felt like Moses in the sense that God too knows me by name and personally and has given me favor (Exo. 33:17). He proved it when He gave Jesus to cleanse my heart (to give me a pure heart) so I can see Him. Because of Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit everyday takes away that which is not God so I can experience and become more and more the image of who God created me to be in the first place-God, my Father (Gen. 1:26). I am so thankful that Jesus has opened my eyes that I may see.

"And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is } the Spirit." 2 Cor. 3:18 (AMP)
