This small verse says so much!!! How many times have you prayed for something not realizing that the something you are asking for probably requires you to step out of your comfort zone just a little bit, to take a risk, to LEAVE YOUR NETS AND FOLLOW HIM!!!! I bet the men that were fishing in Jesus' day were also ready for something new....something better, however, they only got it because they were willing to leave there current circumstance, trust Him without explanation, and follow...I know that there is someone out there who needs to hear just that. If you are looking for a greater purpose in this life, if you are praying for direction....you might just need to put down your net....your safety net that is.....and follow Him!!! It might not be easy at first, but I am sure it will be worth it!!! God Bless!

I envy the apostles for leaving their livelihood immediately at the invitation of the Lord. For me, I will probably think about it for a long time before making a decision. I pray that when the Lord calls me to work full time for Him, I will not hesitate to say, " yes Lord".

I love how there was no hestitation from these men...they IMMEDIATELY followed Jesus when He called them. How often do we waiver or hesitate?? I want to be more like the apostles daily...following without hesitation!

Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (4:19) Again, I'm struck square in the face by those who hear the command and immediately follow Him. I realize Simon Peter, Andrew, James, & John were spoken directly to by Jesus Himself, but wouldn't it be amazing to have the vision and courage to do as they did when we hear His commands?
