Matthew 27:3
When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders.

Judas' remorse was a little late, and Jesus had forewarned that whoever deceived Him, it would be better if he had never been born. I have wondered if, when Judas confessed his sin, did Jesus forgive him. I rather doubt it but it is possible we'll be in for a surprise when we get to heaven. What a horrible thing to betray the King of kings. Thank You Lord Jesus for paying such a heavy price for my/our sins.

Confessing sin does not save us. It is faith in Jesus' finish work on the cross. Judas confessed but he ran from Jesus. We must confess and run to Jesus. If Judas really KNEW (John 17:3) Jesus he would have known that Jesus forgives all sin. No one goes to hell because they sin, they go to hell because they don't accepted Jesus as Lord, Savior and Friend.

Not only confess but turn from, "repent" Luke 13:3 I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:5 I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. (Jesus repeats His statement)

Many of the plans we set into motion cannot be reversed, it is best to think of the potential consequences before we launch into an action we may later regret

Amen to that, Karen.
