Jesus the chosen one who will lead us in to the presence of God, the one who gives us Peace, the one who gives us Joy, the one who gives us victory over sin and death. The one who we are Commanded to Listen To.

It would be wounderful to have a cloud come down and cover me, us at church and a voice from the cloud say This is my Son ,who I love ,with Him I am well pleased.listen to Him .,,,This would change me, us for ever .I have felt the glory of God in church seemed like 1,000 pounds of glory came down and covered my pastor and me while we both were praying together at the front of our church

Matthew 17:5-8 “While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.” – This is exactly what happened to me in 1988. I was reading the bible thinking I was such a good person. God spoke to me and I became terrified. I was far from being good, in fact just about everything I did, said or thought was a sin. In my heart, I fell down facedown before the Lord. Then Jesus touched me and said “Nancy, don’t be afraid, I have always known you were a sinner. I am pleased that you are beginning to see it also. I have always loved you and will never stop loving you. Now get up, I have work for you to do.

Sometimes I get caught up in the moment and my first impulse is to act or "do something". I have to learn to stop and wait for guidance and instruction or ask for it.

Again God confirms Jesus as His son and His love for him. Here also lies one of the best pieces of advise from God to us refering to Jesus, "Listen to him!"

Like Jesus, our Lord, we are God's children but whether, He is pleased with us depends on whether or not we follow His will for us. Jesus submitted His will to the Father's will by dying on the cross. Often, we cannot even bear our small crosses. Lord help me to submit my will to yours even if it is inconvenient for me.
