Matthew 16:15
"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"

Mathew 16:14-15 – “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” This is a question we all must answer. Who is Jesus to You? Some think Jesus is John the Baptist. Jesus preaches repentance. Some think Jesus is Elijah. Jesus preforms miracles. Some think Jesus is Jeremiah. Jesus is an evangelist preaching the coming of the Kingdom of God and crying over lost souls. Some think Jesus is the prophet spoken in Deuteronomy, “I will raise up a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell the people everything I command him. I will personally deal with anyone who will not listen to the messages the prophet proclaims on my behalf.” (Deuteronomy 18:18-19). But, who is Jesus to you? Jesus said, ““You are from below; I am from above. You belong to this world; I do not. That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24-25). We must confess Jesus to be the one sent from above to die for our sins. We must know that He is 100% God and 100% man. We must receive Him as our Savior and know we missed the mark and cannot save ourselves. We must receive Jesus as Lord and Master and give him the driver’s seat of our lives. We must receive Jesus as our Friend and we must communicate with Him daily by bible reading and prayer. We must hang out with the family God and love each other as Christ loves us. EVERYONE MUST ANSWER THIS QUESTION, WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?

For out of the heart come evil thoughts--murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. Matthew 15:19 – “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” (Luke 6:45) - - Sin starts in our mind and moves to our heart, then comes out in word or deed. To be physically healthy we have to be careful what we eat. To be spiritually healthy we have to be careful of what we feed our mind. The result of seeing no evil and hearing no evil is speaking no evil. satan is continually trying to get us to think about things that are false, immoral, wrong, corrupt, detestable, disapproved, and if anything is rotten or guilty, satan puts in our minds. The battle is won not only by taking these things out of our mind, but by filling our minds with whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable and if anything is excellent or praiseworthy we need to think about these things. (Philippians 4:8) - - Kick out the words of satan and fill your mind with the Word of God. "Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. "Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came'; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. "Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation." (Matthew 12:43-45) - - Father in Heaven, help me to hide Your Word in my heart so that I do not sin against You.

Each of us has to answer the same question from the Lord. Often times we will answer He is God, our Messiah, our Savior, our friend, our helper, our life, our salvation, our way, etc, because that is how we are taught or what we heard from others. We can say all those things but if we do not mean what we say, it counts nothing. Lord help me to have that faith in you that you are my Savior even if my prayers are not answered the way i expect it to be.
