Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

"Give, and it will be given to you." (If you give kindness, kindness will be given to you,if you give money, food, or just a willing and listening ear it will be given to you.) " A good measure, pressed down together and running over, will be poured into your lap." (Whatever you give a good measure will be given back to you more than you need or can use.) "For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Whatever you give will be measured and be given back to you.) To me Luke 6:38 is speaking of the spiritual seeds we sow. A spiritual seed comes in many forms, but most importantly it comes from the heart. The characteristics of a spirtual seed are: sharing, kindness, love, encouragement, honesty, etc. these are things we can give with excitement along with our financial gifts. Examine your spiritual seed. Check your heart, what does it tell you? Is it happy about what it is doing or giving or is it reluctant or unhappy? 2 Corinthians 9:6," Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly , and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." Do not have a closed heart or be tight fisted when you are sowing your seeds. Whatever you sow do it honoring God because he gave his life for our salvation, a gift we can never repay. We can express our gratitude by giving to what God loves and his purpose. I Love the Lord for everything he does for me and you.
