Be kind to those who hate you or mistreat you. Pray for them. We do not know the struggles they are facing and the demons that possess them.

Key word here Merciful: dictionary meaning Compassion. Compassion is an expression of love, an expression of Gods Love for us and expression of our Love for God. God is our compassionate Father, He is merciful, patient and loving. And we as Christians need to demonstrate the love of God to others, just like this verse states Be Merciful(compassionate) just as your Father is Merciful (compassionate) Father God has compassion for us because of Jesus.

Amen, Peter. And He is our standard by which we aught to act as well, even though I do at times find it difficult to meet His perfect standard, even though I attempt to do so. Enjoy a blessed weekend, brother Peter. PS: no frost here yet, but expect it will be soon.

we are to love the unloveable, this can be hard but sometimes there is a complete turn around. the hardest people to talk to are our own families and those who have more than enough and feel self sufficient. We ALL need Jesus. BUT, as Jesus said, it they don't want to listen, dust the sand off your sandals and move on.

Don't be quick to bear down on anyone for the wrong they do, but it is good to work toward restoring them.
