Leviticus 5:5
when anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.

Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Confession is good for the Soul. It's good to acknowledge our sin to God in order to receive Forgiveness. Proverbs 28: 13 Whoever conceals their sin does not prosper, but the One who Confesses and Renounces them Finds Mercy.

Amen, Peter. 1Jn 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Then there is the repentance part: Luk 13:3 "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Sometimes people forget the "repent" part. God bless brother Peter.

Dear LORD, I confess that I am weak and I sin everyday. Please forgive my weaknesses and shortcomings and help me to walk in your righteousness. Please guide my heart and mind with your holy guidance. I receive your forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, and I pray that you'll help me to change gradually into your likeness. Please help everyone of us to see our sins so that we can come to you and ask for forgiveness. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

God desires for us to confess all sins, even some we might not be aware of. Believers have been cleared of all sin, but we still can displease the Lord, and we still can suffer the consequences when we do transgress. The Holy Spirit will speak in that still small voice and convict us of our sin. We should then immediately go to the Lord and confess it and ask His forgiveness. And also repent of that sin.
