Then Aaron's sons are to burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering that is lying on the burning wood; it is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

When we read God's Word out loud it is pleasing to God. He loves to hear His Word being spoken out loud. That I believe is a pleasing aroma to our Great God and King. We do this because of Jesus sacrifice on the Cross. We no longer have to offer burnt offerings to God.
