Key phrase here, " I am the Lord." This entire chapter is about honoring the Lord and His commands, that the Israelites would not receive retribution from the Lord. I believe it is still a vital aspect of our lives today, to do our best to follow the lead of Christ and honor Him, for He is still the Lord of all. When we slip, we are to confess tho Him and repent. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Luke 13:3 I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
