Praise god .. for telling people not to do these things.

King Solomon, though was the wisest king ever lived, have wandered astray toward the end of his life by disobeying the Lord and followed the detestable practices of his foreign wives and mistresses. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. His ways are perfect and those who obey them will have life. Psalm 1:1-3 "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers"

I believe North America has turned so far from God that many of the detestable practices in this chapter are taking place. It seems there is no morality in most of North America anymore. So much so that anything is permissible as far as the world goes. Lord, I pray, You would bring conviction upon those who practice these detestable acts and cause them to repent of their sins.

God has set down rules that must be followed or we be defiled. These rules apply today as they did them. Thank you God for showing us the way.

The Lord thy God wants us to obey his commands, he doesn't want us to have insets with family members, or any other sexual acts that are not pleasing to the lord thy GOD.

Praise God he has given his people instruciton on how to live in the land the he is given them. He has told them how to live morally. He has told them not to live like the people lived that had the land before them. He does not want his people to defile themselvs with the customs of the land they have been given. He looks after his people if they will only obey him. Praise God for a loving father he is.

This last verse is pretty much a "wrap up" of all the above. When it says do not do any of these customs that where done before you, all those "customs" where sin in the eyes of God. Before we came to know Christ,we too were living in sin however, we can "repent" of our sin and we too are following those customs i.e sin, are made new in Christ.
