This, to me, is a very interesting sentence. Our Lord tells Moses that the land of Canaan is given to the people as a possession. It is now their land. But the problem is that it has this mold or sin. What is this sin ? They must deal with it by going to a priest for cleansing. This is an example for us who have sinned that we need to go to our Lord and repent of our sin. In other words, we need cleaning but the only way this can be done is to turn to our Lord and REPENT.

If Jesus Came to Your (our) House: The spread of mold is like a leprosy of sin. Our body is the Temple of God/Holy Spirit if sin enters our body(leprosy/mold of sin)Jesus would not want to dwell in our house. Christ through the shedding of His Blood the perfect sacrifice cleansed us from all our sin, Jesus is welcomed into my House, we are cleansed from sin because of what Jesus did on the Cross.
