I can see that their words are true but they also apply to everyone. Yes we were born in sin and since the fall of mankind. One of the worst conditions to be in is thinking you got it all together. What am awful blindness. Jesus is the way and the only way.

How blind the people were, even though they had known the man who was blind and was made to see would not admit that it was God who had healed him. As Jesus said afterward, "those who see will become blind". And so they did.
