That would make anyone open their eyes wide hearing that from Jesus, as it did Peter. We too need our feet washed and we need to wash others as well. Jesus shown those around him that night that they too need to be a servant as well. To serve others and not only those that are superior to them. I also look at that statement as letting Jesus cleanse our thoughts and actions from the feet up. Our bodies and our minds need a total cleansing and Jesus is the one to do just that!

We must be clean.We are cleaned by Jesus's work on the cross.We can remain clean by being obedient to the prompting of God The Holy Spirit.Obeying God's teaching from the Word. When we get dirty we can go to God,confess our uncleanliness,ask for forgiveness and repent.Jesus please help me to remain clean.Thank you Jesus, for your kindness to me.
