Job 27:6
I will maintain my innocence and never let go of it;
my conscience will not reproach me as long as I live.

Even with all the pressure from his friends and even with the total turmoil in his life he knew God was still for him. He did what we all should do and began a conversation with God wrestling back and forth with God and letting the relationship build even under the extreme pressure he suffered his faith remained. He was able to put his trust in the Lord and who God says he is and not the judgement of the world. His friends council was not wrong accounting to law but their thinking was narrow minded.

Job 27:6
I will maintain my innocence and never let go of it;

Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
The human conscience, is the voice of the human spirit. God gave man a conscience, and we have the ability to discern right from wrong. And today as Christians we must rid ourselves of a guilty conscience that the work of the cross provided us. The cross is our victory over a guilty conscience, let the Blood of Jesus flow from the cross cleans us once and for all of a guilty, and shameful and condemning conscience. The Cross is our victory!

Key word here is Conscience Job maintained his innocence and remained faithful to God. God gave man( us) a conscience, to discern right from wrong, no animal has this gift. Our conscience is a source of Guilt when we sin, our conscience condemns us, but Christ shedding His blood cleansed our Conscience. Thank you Father for the Holy Spirit who works with our Conscience.

Amen Peter. Our conscience convicts us and hopefully helps us take a better path, and Christ forgives us as we confess and repent. Once again I could not post in this chapter. God bless you brother.

This is sooooo different from how I'd be handling this. I'd have been crying and begging God to PLEASE show me where I sinned. Search my heart and show me the slightest little infraction. But not Job, he kept his integrity intact throughout this whole ordeal, insisting that, yes, he's a frail human, inclined to sin, but that he didn't have unconfessed sin. In the beginning of the book, it stated that he was actually over zealous about sacrificing for not just HIS sins, but IN CASE MAYBE his kids MIGHT sin, he made sacrifices for them. Papa God, please give me the absolute confidence that, as I come boldly before your throne, and trust in Christ's Redemption that I'm washed clean, scattered and covered in His blood. Thank You for1 Jn 1:9: If I confess my sin, You're faithful and just to forgive my sin AND cleanse me from ALL unrighteousness. It's all about YOU and what YOU'VE done and not my works, which are just filthy rags.

Good point Donna, we should also, like Job, claim our innocence since Jesus was zealous about being the sacrifice for our sins.
