Jeremiah 42:6
Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God."

Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key word here is Obey: The Lord God never breaks a Promise, even though we might not keep our promise, but He keeps His, and He will still Love us. And as believers we should keep our Promises to God, because He Blesses obedience and disciplines disobedience.

Oh so true, Peter. Obedience is a key factor, and God blesses those who are obedient to His instructions. The body of Christ, the church, needs to work in unity to follow the guidelines He has laid out for us in His inspired word, the Bible. Have a blessed week, brother Peter.

To always obey God, to always do His will without questioning what He would have me to do, was one of the hardest lessons I had to learn as a Christian. I had done many bad things back in my B & C days, robbing banks, transporting and selling illegal weapons, etc., but there were some things that I never did and I hated anyone that did them. Rapist and child molesters, I would have had no compunction about killing them, they were the scum of the earth in my eyesight, just as they were/are in the sight of most men. After I became a Christian, I still didn't like them, even after the Holy Spirit led me into the ministry, I didn't like them and what they did. I still don't like being around them, but that's the "Old Man" in me, in order to minister to them, which is God's will for me, I have to constantly remind myself that Christ died for them and their sins just as much as He died for mine. I think that this is something that I will be struggling with until the day Jesus returns or the day that I go home to be with Jesus.

Yes, Jerry, we humans look at sin in different levels, but God looks at it all the same. It's really hard to practice seperation of the sin and the sinner. I hafta always ask God to show me how He sees it. Hurt people hurt people. Thank you for your transparency in sharing that. God bless
