Jeremiah 36:3
Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, they will each turn from their wicked ways; then I will forgive their wickedness and their sin."

Jeremiah 36; (3) -- 'hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, each of them will turn from his wicked way; then I will forgive their wickedness and their sin." The time is coming to an end and if we would really see and think about what will happen to us here when God sends Jesus back and we are left behind, OH LORD, we would turn to Him NOW and He will forgive us and we need to live each and every day like Jesus is coming TODAY so we won't be left behind! AMEN

How patient and willing to give opportunity for repentance God was and still is but we see in v. 23 that king Jehoiakim burned the scroll after it had been read. He rejected what God had said through Jeremiah rather than repenting and instructing his people to repent. Following that we see in v. 30 that Jehoiakim would be destroyed and his body thrown out and all his family would be destroyed. How foolish it is to disregard the word of the Lord, especially when we are given every chance to turn from our wicked ways in repentance, where the Lord will forgive us if we only hear and obey. Lord, help us to pay attention and be obedient to what You are saying through Your written word and directing us, because of Your desire that none of us should perish. Amen
