Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you. They said, "Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and reform your actions; do not follow other gods to serve them. Then you will live in the land I have given to you and your ancestors." But you have not paid attention or listened to me.

There is really nothing new! We are reminded again and again not to follow other gods, but we just don't listen... and then we wonder why things don't work out!

As I read this verse I looked back over my own life and remembered the many times God had placed Godly people in my life. people who were living examples of Christ through the way they lived their lives. I also thought of the old saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. People who have yet to have a personal encounter with Christ are like that horse, they can be led to the fountain of Living Water, but until they are ready to drink that Living Water, no one can make them. Coming to Jesus must be our choice, we must want to make Him the Lord of our lives, we must want to live a Christ like life before we can receive the free gift of eternal life and inherit the kingdom of heaven. It took me 31 years to realize that truth.

Oh how true that is, Jerrry and I can totally relaten to what you are saying, though on a different path than yourself but just as dangerous and it took me even lomger. Yes Jerry and Lloyd, we can all look back and see God's hand on our life path. Too bad we don't see it at the time. But as the recently late Andre Crouch said, through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God. Through it all I've learned to depend upon His Word.
