Placing you trust in anything of this world will disappoint no matter how immovable it appears to be. Those that are in high places have many that put their trust in and depend on them rather than God. and they will be disappointed and fall along with them.

In this chapter, and affirmed in this verse, they have depended on their own might rather than obeying the Lord's commands and principles. Now, the Lord tells them there is going to be a consequence for their forsaking of His will and will now pay the price. Fast forward, we see it happening today, as nations and groups think they can just overtake the world and do as they want BUT there is going to be a consequence. It is sad that so many have to be eternally condemned because some who started it all and dragged others behind them, who will end up in the same destruction. Lord, we need Your Holy Spirit to awaken people around the world not to fall into the enemy's trap of destruction. Amen
