Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."

God's promise to never leave me nor forsake me has special meaning to me because I know that His Word is true, and even when we might not be able to 'feel' or sense His Presence, Jesus is still holding us in the palm of His Hand, and we can and should praise Him for this. Believe first, then experience the proof is the way of our Lord. He wants us to learn to walk by faith, rather than by our feelings, or sight, etc.

"Money" is not the root of all evil - it's the LOVE of money... completely different. I know it's hard to justify how can someone be "content" living on the street when they have nothing; nonetheless, knowing that God will never leave us or forsake us, you can truley be content; I've seen people that are literally down and out, but yet have more joy in their hearts than the millionare down the street.

My brothers and sisters, "the love of money" also includes the love of All the things you can buy with money. You might not think you love money but you work hard for it and seek it for all the toys and pleasures you think your entitled to have. "Be content with what you have"! There is soo much wisdom and freedom when we reach a point that we are Content with what we already have. Being content is being satisfied with what you have and not seeking to build your own kingdom. When we reach this point we stop getting ourselves into more debt and start living below our means. You realize that God has provided you with more than what you need and that your cup overflows. With this revelation comes the desire to share what you have and use the extra provision, be it money, to build God's kingdom instead of your own. God and His kingdom then become our priority and we start to see God's hand become more involved in our lives. This happens because we stop trying to take care of ourselves and God then takes that role in our lives to take care of us. Praise be to Jesus Christ! Amen.
