Hebrews 13:3
Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

I know that this verse-is referring to those who are imprisoned because of their faith, but tonight I think of my daughter, who has wrongfully strayed and committed evil acts and as a result, she is in prison. Please pray for her that she may see the error in her ways and that Our Lord Jesus will stay by her side.

That must be difficult for you, Katherine. It's always hard when we see one of our loved ones go astray. Lord, I lift Katherine's daughter up before You and ask that You would reveal Yourself to her and draw her to Jesus in repentance. I pray too, that You encourage Katherine as she follows You and prays for her daughter. Let her experience her daughter's transformation as You draw her to Yourself. Amen. Keep the faith Katherine. God bless.

Katherine, I thank you for your comment because it caused me to check some commentaries, and I found that the Greek word used in this case actually meant all who are in prison and not just those who are there because of their faith. I had thought the same as you, that it was those being persecuted for their faith. God bless.

I think this is one area that we have been remiss, we should think about all those in jail, prison etc. Some are there for small things, some for major, some for minor, but they are all Gods children and deserved to be kept in our prayers. But the for Grace of God goes I as they saying goes. They need our prayers more then a lot of people and we need to pray for the victim too. We are all in Gods hands.
