Thank you, Lord, for being my shield and my great reward.Verse 6 mentions that because Abram believed, it was counted to him for righteousness... that also applies to us,,,our faith in God is counted as well.

The Lord is my great reward! Reading this chapter reminds me that, in our arrogance we all to often think we are in control of our lives,, we are not, God is, and I am so thankful for that fact! When I really think about it and accept it, it takes a lot of pressure off of me to know someone much more capable than I is at the wheel! Thank You Lord!!!!

Dear Heavenly Father, please remind me when I am in trouble or in times of persecution that you are my shield, and that with you by my side, I can do all things. Please give me this insight when I need it most. Please remind me also that you are my great reward and not worldly possessions. You are all I need, please help me to understand that with my heart.
