Ezra 7:6
this Ezra came up from Babylon. He was a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given. The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.

Here we see in this verse God exercising His will on a pagan king. And through the divine influence of God, Ezra was granted everything he was asked for according to the hand of God upon him .

Amen Peter. When God has a plan, there is nothing or no one who will sway His plans. So I guess it was His plan, for whatever reason that I was not to comment on chapter six. Tried it again several times but no way would it post, so skipped that chapter and tried this one, and it posted. Technology is confusing at times. God bless and protect you Peter. :-)

Ezra was devoted to the word of God. Ezra did what God said in His word, we must follow Ezra's example to seek God's word, to do God's word, and to share God's word.

Pro_20:5 "Wisdom in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out." Ezra was surely a man of understanding. Blessings brother Peter.

This is something I read in a study guide kind of along the lines of what your saying. ii. We may say that this threefold intention is essential in anyone who wants to make an impact on others with the word of God. - First, to seek the Law of the LORD. This means that full impact with God's word is made by those who diligently seek after His word and fellowship with God in His word. - Second, to do it. This means that full impact with God's word is made by those who are not only hearers of the word, but actual doers of the word. It has to be lived, not only known. - Third, to teach. This means that full impact with God's word is made by those who actually teach it to others. What has been learned in the seeking and the doing must be put into effect through the teaching of God's word.

Ezra 7:6 - Obviously Ezra was born and raised in Babylon, yet he was a teacher of the Law of Moses. Even when we are stuck in captivity, it is our job to prepare by studying the Word of God, memorize scriptures, and seek the Lord at all times. We cannot just know the Word, we have to live it. Father God, Help me to be ready always to give an answer to everyone that asked for the reason of the hope that is in me. i know i first have to sanctify you in my heart. Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true, with thanksgiving i want to be a living testimony to you. Help me Father to study to show myself approved unto You, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. i am very thankful Father that i like Ezra can see that Your amazing gracious hand is on me at all times.

Ezra had come from a place that was wretched, yet he endeavored to learn and teach God's Word. God showed much favor upon Ezra because He was well pleased with him
