Ezra 10:1
While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites—men, women and children—gathered around him. They too wept bitterly.

Here we see in this chapter and verse, Ezra was a Godly man, a man of prayer, who addressed the issue of intermarriage with pagan women. Here was the beginning of a great Spiritual revival, a work of the Spirit, that was sweeping through Judah, and caused them to put away the idolatrous women from among them, saving them from the curse of Leviticus 26. Some what difficult but prayer and revival come together, we need this today.

Amen Peter. We chose different ends of the chapter but with similar expression of thought. And for the need of revival, that is surely what we need to see today. No doubt in my mind. Enjoy a terrific weekend Peter, as we watch for Him to awaken more people to their need of Christ. And as for your previous questions, no we have not yet gathered as a congregation but some of us are gathering to fellowship and pray in smaller groups. And for your other question, YES, I did watch that program with Amir Tsarfati and he was bang on when he was asked about the position of Canada right now. We surely need a transformation of government right now. We surely, in Prime Minister Harper had a very strong Israel supporter. At this time the Conservative Party is in the process of selecting a new leader, and the one my wife and I are praying for, stands for the standards and principles we admire, and he is a believer. Sloan is his last name. Thanks and cheers. :-)

Key word here is Praying, God wants to know your heart and what better way then through Prayer. There is always a time in our life that we cry out too the Lord in prayer. Prayer should motivate us to pray for the Lost. Thank you Father that you know our needs before we ask Amen

Amen, Peter, and they were also confessing their sins and became repentant as wel, which brings to mind God's promise; 2Ch 7:14 "if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." God bless you, brother.

Ezra 10:1 - Seems that Ezra's brokenness was more powerful than preaching a sermon on sin. i can remember as a child not wanting to do bad things not because of being punished but because i knew if i was bad my mother would be hurt. Maybe if we could see how much our sin hurts God and hurts others we would sin less. Maybe if we were broken over the sins of those around us, they would sin less. Father in Heaven, remind me when i am tempted to sin that sin hurts You and sin hurts others.
