I am wondering if the way people are getting so slack in the way they approach church if God sees that as not giving your best. Watching at home on the Internet is that really your best, or being so relaxed about our to church clothes is that really your best. As a little girl it was a huge deal to get dressed up and to actually attend church. I remember my grandmother saying look your best before The Lord. It seems now its like whatever anything goes just come in your pajamas if you want. Who are we kidding is this really our best. I guess it is better to be there no matter what but I think God deserves us to actually show up and bring our first and best to him.

This chapter is full of some great messages, but this is a reminder for me to bring before the Lord and offer God the best of me and my firstfruits. For me it means God gets my first thoughts in the morning. God gets the first words from my mouth. God gets my first action which is to kneel in prayer. God is worthy of it all!
